Indian media<\/a>, the government of the state of Bihar has expanded the scope of the Chief Minister Self-Help Allowance Scheme and now includes those youth who are educated but have not yet been able to get a job.<\/p>\nThis scheme, launched in the year 2016, has been made more effective. Earlier, only intermediate pass youth were included in it. However, now youth who have graduated in arts, science and commerce can also apply.<\/p>\n
The state government says that the lack of employment despite higher education is increasing frustration among the youth and this scheme can provide them with a new direction.<\/p>\n
Under this scheme, eligible youth will be given Rs 12,000 per year (more than Rs 38,000 in Pakistani currency). Unemployed youth will be given Rs 1,000 per month and any applicant youth can benefit from this scheme for a maximum of two years.<\/p>\n
Eligibility Criteria:<\/h3>\n
The age limit of applicants for this scheme has been fixed from 20 to 25 years. Only those applicants will be eligible, who are unemployed and not in any kind of education, government or private job or doing their own business.<\/p>\n
The applicant should be a permanent resident of Bihar and should not be receiving any other government allowance, scholarship, loan, or student credit card. Furthermore, they should not be in government or private employment or have their own business.<\/p>\n
Prerequisite:<\/h3>\n
Under this scheme, the youth have to complete a basic computer course, which is conducted by the Department of Manpower. The last five months allowance is given only after completing the training and submitting the certificate. The aim is to enhance the skills of the youth and make them employable.<\/p>\n
Documents required for application<\/h3>\n
Along with the application, the applicant will have to submit his Aadhaar card, 10th and 12th class mark sheets, photocopies of residence certificate and a common application form.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
