{"id":96031,"date":"2026-01-01T19:35:33","date_gmt":"2026-01-01T14:35:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=96031"},"modified":"2026-01-01T19:35:33","modified_gmt":"2026-01-01T14:35:33","slug":"new-crude-oil-gas-reserves-discovered-in-pakistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/new-crude-oil-gas-reserves-discovered-in-pakistan\/","title":{"rendered":"New crude oil, gas reserves discovered in Pakistan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: New reserves of crude oil and gas have been discovered in the<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-weather-update-pmd-predicts-rain-snowfall-in-different-parts-of-country-2\/\"> country<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>OGDC has announced the discovery of oil and gas from the Nishpa block in the Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesperson for Oil and Gas Development said that 4,100 barrels of oil will be produced from the Bragzai X-1 well per day, and 10.5 million cubic feet of gas will be produced from the well per day.<\/p>\n<p>According to the OGDCL spokesperson, the Bragzai X-1 well was drilled to a depth of 5,170 meters, and a 187-meter zone of hydrocarbons was successfully identified in the data formation.<\/p>\n<p>In the Nishpa block, OGDC, as the operator, holds 65 percent, PPL 30 percent and GHPL 5 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The new discovery will further increase the energy reserves of the country and OGDC.<\/p>\n<p>The OGDC spokesperson said that the development of local resources will improve the demand and supply of energy in the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: New reserves of crude oil and gas have been discovered in the country.
