The meeting was attended by transporters, Additional IG Police Afzal Khan, Secretary Transport, and DIG Traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Matters that arose in the discussion include parking space shortages, the issuance of HTV licenses, vehicle registration, and insurance.<\/p>\n<p>Naqvi directed the traffic police to ensure that there were no further incidents by strictly implementing traffic laws.<\/p>\n<p>He also promised transporters that his administration would address their concerns, such as the provision of parking spaces wherever possible.<\/p>\n<p>In the new system, the proposed goods transport terminal would be examined by the relevant authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, a reserved HTV lane will soon be marked from Mai Kolachi to the Qayyumabad Bridge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: In a move aiming to counter the recent rise in large numbers of traffic accidents, the government of Karachi has announced plans to add a special heavy vehicle lane to the roads of the city.
