TEHRAN: The protests that began in Iran<\/a> against inflation have spread to 78 cities in 26 provinces, due to which the overall situation has become more tense.<\/p>\n

Reports of clashes between protesters and security forces have also emerged in different cities.<\/p>\n

According to a report by the Human Rights Activist News Agency (HRANA), 19 people have been killed so far during these clashes, while more than 50 protesters have been injured in shooting incidents.<\/p>\n

The report also states that security agencies have arrested 990 people during the protests.<\/p>\n

According to HRANA, university students are also participating in these protests in large numbers and separate protest activities are being seen by students in different cities.<\/p>\n

The main reason for the protests is being said to be rising inflation and economic difficulties, which are affecting the lives of ordinary citizens.<\/p>\n

Protesters say that the increase in the prices of daily necessities has made life difficult for them and the government should take immediate measures.<\/p>\n

In view of the situation, the Iranian government has announced a financial relief package to reduce public pressure.<\/p>\n

The government has said that the public will be given a monthly allowance of seven dollars for the next four months to reduce the effects of inflation to some extent.<\/p>\n

Officials say that this measure is being taken as immediate relief, while other measures are also being considered to solve economic problems.<\/p>\n

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has also reacted to this situation and said that the legitimate demands of the protesters should be recognized.<\/p>\n

He said that the public’s difficulties cannot be ignored, but at the same time he expressed his determination that any alleged conspiracy by foreign agents will be foiled.<\/p>\n
