Due to this, there is no need to increase the tariff now.<\/p>\n<p>According to Power Division officials, there has been a significant improvement in the energy mix since July. Which reduced the cost of production and made it possible to provide relief to consumers.<\/p>\n<p>Officials clarified that the government has taken the final decision not to change the tariff, considering all the circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>At present, a total of Rs 629 billion in subsidies are being given to electricity consumers of all categories across the country so that electricity is available to the public at affordable rates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided not to increase the average basic electricity tariff.
