{"id":98172,"date":"2026-01-22T19:40:37","date_gmt":"2026-01-22T14:40:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=98172"},"modified":"2026-01-22T19:40:37","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T14:40:37","slug":"fcc-issues-stay-on-shc-ruling-in-govt-employees-children-quota","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/fcc-issues-stay-on-shc-ruling-in-govt-employees-children-quota\/","title":{"rendered":"FCC Issues stay on SHC ruling in govt employees\u2019 children quota"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/federal-constitutional-court-announces-200-jobs\/\">Federal Constitutional Court<\/a> has issued a stay order on the Sindh High Court\u2019s decision in a case related to the quota for employment of children of government employees after their death.<\/p>\n<p>A three-member bench headed by Justice Aamir Farooq issued notices to all parties after the initial hearing on the Sindh government\u2019s appeal and suspended the Sindh High Court\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing, Justice Aamir Farooq remarked that the Supreme Court\u2019s decision of 2024 was not implemented retrospectively but was applicable within a specific legal scope.<\/p>\n<p>The Sindh government\u2019s lawyer took the stand that the Sindh High Court had declared that the Supreme Court\u2019s decision would not apply in the future nor to pending matters; however, this interpretation is not correct.<\/p>\n<p>The Sindh government\u2019s lawyer further said that the Supreme Court\u2019s decision has provided legal protection to past decisions and pre-determined matters, while the Sindh High Court did not interpret the Supreme Court\u2019s decision correctly.<\/p>\n<p>After hearing the arguments, the court suspended the Sindh High Court&#8217;s decision and indicated that it would set a date for further hearing of the case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Federal Constitutional Court has issued a stay order on the Sindh High Court\u2019s decision in a case related to the quota for employment of children of government employees after their death.
