Elon Musk made this post when a lawsuit was filed in a US court.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit challenges WhatsApp&#8217;s claim of end-to-end encryption. The lawsuit said that Meta and WhatsApp could potentially access users&#8217; private messages.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit was filed by users from different countries, such as Australia, Mexico, and South Africa, who claim that the security protections available in WhatsApp are not available.<\/p>\n<p>They alleged that Meta employees access users&#8217; private messages.<\/p>\n<p>The case was based on a statement from an anonymous Meta whistleblower who claimed that Meta\u2019s internal systems could bypass encryption and access users\u2019 messages.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit also alleged that this access was for an unlimited period of time, allowing Meta employees to view all message history, even deleted messages.<\/p>\n<p>But no technical evidence was provided in the lawsuit documents.
