{"id":99001,"date":"2026-01-29T17:05:49","date_gmt":"2026-01-29T12:05:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=99001"},"modified":"2026-01-29T17:16:58","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T12:16:58","slug":"haji-ghulam-ahmed-bilour-bids-farewell-to-electoral-politics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/haji-ghulam-ahmed-bilour-bids-farewell-to-electoral-politics\/","title":{"rendered":"Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour bids farewell to electoral politics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PESHAWAR: Senior politician Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour retired from electoral politics at the age of 86.<\/p>\n<p>During a press conference at Bilour House, former federal minister <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/nephew-of-bashir-bilour-ghulam-ahmed-bilour-formally-joins-pti\/\">Ghulam Ahmed Bilour<\/a> said that the establishment did not even consider my age, and I was defeated on the seat I won.<\/p>\n<p>He said that I did politics for this country and nation for 55 years, but the establishment does not need those who do not bow down or surrender, which is why I was defeated three times.<\/p>\n<p>The ANP leader said that our country defeated India on the battlefield, but in the economic field, they are far behind.<\/p>\n<p>He said that some people call the 18th Amendment nonsense, but they do not know that the 18th Amendment is like the Objectives Resolution; if it is tampered with, the country will suffer.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the party has to decide who will contest the election in my seat. I am leaving a strong party while leaving Peshawar, but I will be buried in this same soil.<\/p>\n<p>He further said that I am withdrawing from electoral politics, but I am not leaving politics.
