ISLAMABAD: There is a possibility of a major increase in the prices of petroleum products<\/a> across the country.<\/p>\n

In the context of the ongoing tension in the Gulf region and the increasing hostility between the US and Iran, the prices of petroleum products are expected to increase by up to Rs 9.47 per liter for the next fortnight from February 1, 2026.<\/p>\n

According to the price estimates prepared by the relevant authorities, the price of High Speed \u200b\u200bDiesel (HSD) may increase by up to Rs 9.47 per liter.<\/p>\n

In addition, kerosene is expected to increase by Rs 3.69 and light diesel oil (LDO) by Rs 6.95 per liter.<\/p>\n

Government Review and Public Impact<\/h2>\n

In recent months, fuel prices have remained a sensitive issue due to their direct impact on inflation and daily living costs. Any increase in diesel prices, in particular, affects public transport fares and the cost of goods, as diesel is widely used in freight and agriculture.<\/p>\n

Government officials have stated in the past that price adjustments aim to balance economic stability with consumer relief, while aligning domestic prices with international trends.<\/p>\n

No official notification has been issued so far, and authorities have urged the public to wait for the final announcement.<\/p>\n
