The ninth edition of the Pakistan Army Team Spirit competition formally began on Tuesday at the National Counter Terrorism Centre in Pabbi, marking another major multinational military engagement hosted by Pakistan. The annual exercise brings together troops from friendly nations to strengthen professional cooperation and operational understanding through a demanding field-based challenge.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony was held at NCTC Pabbi and attended by a senior military officer, who declared the start of the event. Soon after, participating teams commenced a 60-hour continuous patrolling exercise designed to test endurance, tactical judgment, and teamwork under near-real operational conditions.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Pakistan Army Team Spirit competition includes 24 international teams representing 19 countries. These include Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Maldives, Morocco, Nepal, Qatar, Sri Lanka, T\u00fcrkiye, the United States, and Uzbekistan. In addition, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Thailand are attending the exercise as military observers.<\/p>\n

Alongside foreign contingents, 16 domestic teams from the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy are also taking part. Observers from the Pakistan Air Force are monitoring the exercise as well. Their presence highlights joint service coordination and Pakistan\u2019s emphasis on integrated defence training.<\/p>\n

The Pakistan Army Team Spirit exercise is a mission-focused professional military event held annually. It centres on small-unit patrolling tasks that demand high physical fitness, mental resilience, and precise execution. Teams are required to make rapid decisions while operating in challenging terrain and time-bound scenarios that reflect modern operational realities.<\/p>\n

According to military officials, the core objective of the exercise is to promote perseverance through collective effort. It also aims to sharpen fundamental soldiering skills while improving interoperability among participating forces. Through shared experiences, teams exchange practical ideas and learn best practices that support mutual operational readiness.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the competition has grown in scale and international recognition. As a result, it has become an important platform for fostering trust and professional bonds between the Pakistan Armed Forces and partner militaries.<\/p>\n

By hosting the exercise at NCTC Pabbi, Pakistan continues to underline its commitment to regional and global military cooperation.
