Pakistan\u2019s top military leadership on Wednesday renewed Kashmir Solidarity Day Support, reaffirming backing for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and their demand for self-determination.<\/p>\n

The statement was issued on Kashmir Solidarity Day by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Force, alongside Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu. The message was released on behalf of the Pakistan Armed Forces.<\/p>\n

They expressed solidarity with Kashmiris, describing their struggle as long-standing and rooted in internationally recognised rights. The military leadership stressed that the people of the disputed region continue to face serious hardships.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, grave human rights violations remain a central concern. These include extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and arbitrary detentions. The chiefs also pointed to reported efforts to change the region\u2019s demographic and political character.<\/p>\n

They said such actions show disregard for international law and humanitarian norms. As a result, the leadership urged the international community to take meaningful steps to address the situation.<\/p>\n

The armed forces reiterated that a lasting solution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute is essential for peace in South Asia. They emphasised that any resolution must align with United Nations Security Council resolutions. It must also reflect the will of the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n

Kashmir Solidarity Day Support, they added, reflects Pakistan\u2019s consistent position on the issue. Each year, the country observes the day to highlight the plight of Kashmiris and to renew calls for a peaceful settlement.<\/p>\n

The military leadership also reaffirmed its constitutional responsibility to protect Pakistan\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity. At the same time, they underlined continued moral and political support for Kashmiris.<\/p>\n

They described solidarity with Kashmir as a shared national stance rather than a symbolic gesture. Therefore, they called on global institutions and human rights bodies to move beyond statements and take concrete action.<\/p>\n

Pakistan has long maintained that unresolved disputes undermine regional stability. Officials argue that meaningful dialogue and adherence to international commitments remain the only viable path forward.<\/p>\n

The statement concluded with a message of unity and resolve. The armed forces pledged to remain steadfast in support of the Kashmiri people\u2019s pursuit of dignity and fundamental rights.<\/p>\n
