KARACHI: During the first month of the 2024-25 financial year, car sales in Pakistan rose by 58.21% compared to the same month last year, according to recent data from the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).
Moreover, 5,857 cars were sold this month, up from 3,702 units last year.
The breakdown shows that Honda Civic and City sales increased to 790 units from 208 units in the same month of the previous year. Toyota Corolla and Yaris sales grew by 3.65%, reaching 1,106 units compared to 1,067 units last July.
Suzuki Swift saw a significant increase of 101.60%, with sales rising to 502 units from 249 units last year.
Conversely, sales of Suzuki Cultus fell to 96 units from 177 units, and Suzuki WagonR sales decreased to 139 units from 245 units last year.
Suzuki Alto’s sales surged by 99.23%, climbing to 2,869 units from 1,440 units, and Suzuki Bolan sales rose to 288 units from 146 units.
