ISLAMABAD: Zeekr unveiled its 2025 model year Zeekr 007 at the Evolution New Generation press conference on the evening of August 13, introducing several significant upgrades.

As per the details, notably, the new model has a second-generation Golden battery that promises better performance and faster charging.

This mid-size, performance-oriented sedan continues to offer two battery options. Long-range versions retain a 100 kWh CATL Qilin battery, which supports ultra-fast 5C charging. Meanwhile, the new 75 kWh Golden Battery, also known as the Golden Brick Battery, is a notable improvement.

The charging speed has been increased from 4.5C to 5.5C, which can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 10.5 minutes, a reduction of 4.5 minutes compared to the previous generation. Zeekr claims this makes the Golden Brick battery the fastest-charging mass-produced battery in the world, making the Zeekr 007 the fastest mass-produced EV globally. Increases as

The second-generation Golden Brick battery also maintains the strict safety standards of its predecessor, including extreme tests such as 1000°C fire exposure.

Acceleration has also been boosted across the board. Rear-wheel drive models now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds, down from 5.4 seconds.

The all-wheel-drive version improves from 3.5 seconds to 3.4 seconds, while the Performance version maintains its 2.84 seconds, making it the fastest-accelerating mid-level pure electric car. Zeekr plans to distribute these performance upgrades to existing vehicles through over-the-air updates.

2025 Zeekr 007

The 2025 Zeekr 007 is equipped with the new Haohan Intelligent Driving 2.0 system, which uses a combination of Lidar and visual sensors, powered by two Nvidia Orin X chips providing 508 tops of computing power.

The system manages 30 complex driving scenarios with more than 95 percent accuracy and introduces 1,000 new traffic scenarios, increasing cognitive accuracy by more than 120 percent.

Enhanced parking capabilities include a remote-control fingertip parking feature, with future updates set to add full door-to-door driving capability by early 2025.

The upgraded Zeekr OS AI system allows voice control of all vehicle functions from any cabin location and offers proactive recommendations for various driving scenarios.

Aesthetic updates include new 20-inch wheels, 19-inch multi-spoke wheels with blackout styling, a fresh sky green exterior colour, and Shadow Black paint, exclusive to the four-wheel drive performance version. The interior now has a new blue-green accent option.

With these updates, the 2025 Zeekr 007 continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology and performance.
