Islamabad: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued a circular regarding the banking hours during Ramadan. According to the circular, banking transactions for the public will continue from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a break for prayers from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM. On Fridays, banking services will be available without a break from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Furthermore, Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has also announced its operating hours for Ramadan. According to the statement, trading hours from Monday to Thursday will be from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, while on Fridays, trading will start at 9:00 AM and conclude at 12:30 PM.
On another note, Bank Islami Pakistan will remain closed for public transactions on the first of Ramadan 1445 Hijri. As per the press release issued by State Bank, Bank Islami Pakistan will remain closed for public transactions on the first of Ramadan 1445 Hijri due to the “Bank Holiday” declared for the deduction of Zakat.

As per the central bank, after the completion of the month of Ramadan, this schedule will be automatically revoked, and the previous schedule will be reinstated.
