BISP payments reach 40.07% completion in Sargodha district

SARGODHA: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has been pursued vigorously, and as of the recent tranche that was released in December 2024, the process of payments stands at 40.07% completion in Sargodha district.

According to Deputy Director BISP Sargodha, Madam Raazia Asim, a total of 63,019 deserving beneficiaries received their payment out of the 157,268. 

It also includes 3,056 beneficiaries of Bhulwal who got Rs 10,500 each, 10,861 beneficiaries of Bhera, 3,129 of Kotmomin, 10,189 of Sahiwal, 27,344 of Sargodha, 7,962 of Shahpur and 7,535 beneficiaries of Sillanwali.

Madam Asim said that the rest of the beneficiaries will get their amounts shortly and for expediency of disbursement of payment 11 camp sites have been set up in the district and its tehsils.

She is personally monitoring the process of paying them by visiting the payment centers daily to ensure the process is smoothThat is praiseworthy commitment and transparency; wonderful to know the program is indeed making progress in supporting the needy.

The Benazir Income Support Program has been striving very hard to empower the genuine poor with finances, and it is nice to see this change at the grass roots.
