Many of its shopkeepers are buying broiler meat at the traders’ rates and are charging extra money from the public. Similarly, in the name of meat, various clean meats are being sold at up to Rs 650 per kg, which is higher than the local prices.

On the other hand, the price of Farm Indus is also being seen continuously. The government has registered the Farm Indus office and fixed it at Rs 230, but the wholesale rate of egg cartons will reach Rs 6,780, which will provide additional financial assistance to the consumers.

The government announced a price cut in view of overcharging and market prices, so that the public could get relief, but shopkeepers in various markets are continuing to charge prices contrary to the official rates.

In this situation, the government also hinted at taking action against the shopkeepers, so that the public could be provided with goods at the right price.
