ISLAMABAD: The cement prices have been increased by Rs. 25-30 per bag in several cities, according to market checks.
The latest rise in cement prices has pushed the bags to cost of Rs. 1,515 per bag this week.
As the demand for construction materials continues to improve, prices are increasing. Meanwhile, in the past two months, the cement market has witnessed a gradual decline.
Cement prices saw a fall of Rs. 40 per bag due to geopolitical tensions; Moreover, the coal prices declined during that period.
Throughout the financial year 2025–2026, the industry saw a strong comeback. The All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) reports that cement exports reached 50.5 million tons, a 7.21% rise.
The association reports showed that domestic sales increased by 9.5% as construction activity gained momentum.
Moreover, improved construction activities and lower interest rates have supported the recovery of the cement sector.
The recent price increase may raise construction costs for consumers and builders, especially in northern Pakistan, where demand for cement has strengthened.
