LAHORE: Chicken prices increased massively in Lahore, Punjab cities as the meat reached near Rs485 per kg, here Tuesday.

As per the details, the meat price moved up amid a rise in demand nearly a month after Eid-ul-Adha, in which consumption of other meat increased.

In the data shared by local traders, the price of broiler chicken meat is Rs483 per kg. Broiler chicken meat has become expensive by Rs99 per kg during the last 3 days.

Meanwhile, live broiler has been fixed at Rs321 per kg wholesale and Rs333 per kg retail. The price of eggs per dozen is stable at Rs250.

This situation indicates the increasing financial burden on the citizens as the cost of living continues to increase rapidly in the wake of the new budget.
