Chicken prices slashed in Punjab: Check new rates here

Lahore: In a bid to ease financial strain during Ramadan, Punjab government along with the Poultry Association announced a reduction in chicken prices. Open markets in Punjab will see a drop of Rs 10 per kilogram, while Model Bazaars will enjoy a steeper discount of Rs 25 per kilogram, effective immediately.

As per the most recent update on poultry prices:

Live Broiler (per kilogram) sold wholesale: Rs. 395
Live Broiler (per kilogram) sold in retail: Rs. 410
Broiler Meat (per kilogram) sold in retail: Rs. 595
Eggs from farms (per packet): Rs. 7770
These prices reflect the current market rates in the poultry industry.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Surprise Visit to Ramadan Bazaar

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif conducted an impromptu visit to Johar Town’s Model Bazaar after her official engagements. She meticulously assessed the prices of fruits, vegetables, and groceries, engaging with shoppers to understand their concerns.

Expressing empathy for citizens, especially the elderly, facing challenges during Ramadan, CM Nawaz vowed to address their needs. Her visit drew a large crowd, demonstrating public support, with Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman Akhtar also present to underscore the government’s commitment to citizen welfare
