Cooking oil & ghee prices decrease in Pakistan: Check new rates here

ISLAMABAD: Cooking oil and ghee prices were reduced in the previous month of Ramadan in Pakistan.

According to the statistics released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the average price of 5 kg of cooking oil in March 2024 was recorded at Rs 2652.88, which is 2.74% less than February.

In February, the average price of 5 kg of cooking oil in the country was recorded at Rs 2727.71.

In March, the average price of 1.25 kg of ghee was recorded at Rs 1,289.52, which is 1.2% lower than February.

The average price of 1.25 kg Banaspati ghee was recorded at Rs 1305.17 in February.

According to the statistics data, the average price of 1 kg Banaspati ghee was recorded at Rs 497.90, which is 0.53% less than February. In February, the average price of one kg of banaspati ghee was recorded at Rs 500.53.

The average price of 1 liter of mustard oil was recorded at Rs 501.09 in March, slightly higher than February when it was Rs 500.03.

On the other hand, the World Bank has predicted a decrease in the rate of inflation in the Pakistan during the financial year 2023-2024.

However, the World Bank expects the country’s GDP growth rate to be 3 percent over the next 3 years and 1.8 percent during the current fiscal year.
