ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced a reward scheme for customers of integrated tier-1 retailers, who will report unverified invoices issued by large retailers, here on Thursday.
As per the details, FBR has notified the scheme for consumers by issuing SRO.1513(I)/2024 to amend the Sales Tax Rules, 2006.
The revised reward scheme mechanism has revealed that customers of an integrated Tier-1 retailer, who report unverified receipts issued by a Tier-L retailer, to the integrated Tier-1 retailers. will be entitled to rewards in respect of their purchases from
A photograph of the unverified invoice and a tagged photograph of the business premises that issued the unverified invoice.
Provided that the right to claim the prize shall be forfeited if proof of digital payment is not provided by the customer.
In case of unverified invoice, an alert will be generated in the IRIS login of the Commissioner of Inland Revenue, and he will verify the unverified invoice to establish the beneficiary’s entitlement to reward or otherwise. Provided that the Commissioner shall also take necessary action in terms of S.No.24 in the Schedule to Section 33 of the Sales Tax Act.
The FBR added that if at any stage the details provided by the user are found to be incorrect or incomplete, the user will be held responsible for the delay in disbursement of the prize.
