Gold prices drop by Rs 2700 per tola in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Gold prices experienced a downward movement on Friday after two days of market gains in both international and local bullion markets.

Local jewellers report that 24-karat gold in Pakistan costs Rs 494,062 after the price dropped by Rs 2,700 per tola. The price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs 2,315 to settle at Rs 423,578.

The global gold market experienced a decline as the price dropped to $4,717 after a $27 per ounce decrease. The price of a tola of silver increased by Rs 80 in the local market, which brought the silver price to Rs 8,525.
