KARACHI: Gold and silver prices witnessed a sharp decline in both international and local bullion markets on Friday, following a significant drop in global precious metal prices.

According to market data, the price of gold in the international bullion market fell by $46 per ounce to $4,050.

Reflecting the global trend, the price of 24-karat gold per tola in Pakistan decreased by Rs4,600, bringing it down to Rs427,436. The price of 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs3,944 to Rs366,457.

Silver prices also moved lower, with the price of silver per tola declining by Rs61 to Rs6,309 in the local bullion market.

The latest decline comes amid weakness in international bullion markets, which continued to influence domestic gold and silver prices.
