Punjab government clarifies salary increase, revised pay scales
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has approved a 50% increase in the conveyance allowance for government employees, providing financial relief to thousands of workers across the province.
The KP Finance Department has issued an official notification confirming the increase. According to the notification, the revised conveyance allowance will apply to all government employees from Grade 1 to Grade 20 and above, effective July 1, 2026.

The provincial government described the increase as a financial relief measure, particularly at a time when employees are facing higher living and transportation costs due to inflation.
Meanwhile, the Sindh government has also announced an increase in conveyance allowance for government employees. The Sindh Cabinet has approved a raise in the allowance for employees in Grades 1 to 16.
