Gold prices soar Rs4,250 per tola in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan increased significantly on Wednesday as it continued its upward trend for the third consecutive day.

According to the Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola in the local market increased by Rs 4,250 to Rs 287,450, while the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 3,642 to Rs 246,440.

The prices of bullion also increased in the international market where the price of the precious commodity increased by $ 40 to $ 2,751 per ounce.

Latest gold rates in Pakistan today on January 22

The latest price of gold per tola in Pakistan is Rs 287,450 while 10 grams is being sold for Rs 246,440 today on January 22, 2025.

The price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs 300 a day earlier and was sold for Rs 283,200 on Tuesday. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold in the local market also increased by Rs 257 to Rs 242,798.

The prices of silver per tola and ten grams remained stable at Rs 3,372 and Rs 2,890, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a bearish trend as the KSE-100 index fell by over 700 points during intraday trading.

As of 2:20 pm, the current index stood at 114,317.99 points compared to the previous close of 115,042.25 points.
