LAHORE: Thousands of teachers performing examination duties under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore are set to benefit after the board announced a 50 percent increase in remuneration for examination staff.
According to officials, there has been an enhancement in the daily salary of a superintendent from Rs1,560 to Rs2,340. In addition, the daily salary of a deputy superintendent has also been increased from Rs1,260 to Rs1,800.
There has also been a rise in the daily salary of the supervisory staff from Rs1,000 to Rs1,500.
In like manner, the daily salary of a mobile inspector has been increased from Rs1,080 to Rs1,620. The daily salary of a distributor inspector would be Rs1,800 as compared to the previous Rs1,200. There has also been a hike in the salary of a practical examiner from Rs1,540 to Rs2,310.
Tausif-ur-Rehman, Controller of Examinations, BISE Lahore, stated that the decision was made in order to pay homage to the dedication, honesty, and hard work of teachers, who are crucial in conducting examinations in an orderly manner.
Furthermore, he stated that this enhancement in salary was made to motivate examination staff in performing their duties efficiently.
