KARACHI: Gold and silver prices moved upward once again in both local and international markets after witnessing a brief decline a day earlier.
According to figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-carat gold per tola increased by Rs4,600, reaching Rs477,762.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold recorded an increase of Rs3,943 and settled at Rs409,603.
Silver prices also witnessed a notable rise, with the price per tola increasing by Rs236 to reach Rs8,270 in the local market.
In the international market, gold per ounce increased by $46 and reached $4,554.
Based on prevailing international rates, the price of gold per gram was recorded at approximately $146.70.
Market observers linked the recent movement to changing investor sentiment and ongoing developments surrounding expectations related to a possible agreement between the United States and Iran, which continue to influence commodity and precious metal markets.
Analysts say international market trends remain a key factor affecting local bullion prices.
