ISLAMABAD: The federal government has increased petroleum prices for the current week, bringing petrol rates close to the Rs. 400 mark amid rising global oil prices.
According to the latest notification effective from May 1, 2026, the price of petrol has been set at Rs. 399.86 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) is priced at Rs. 399.58 per litre.
This week saw a notable increase in fuel prices, with petrol going up by around Rs. 6.51 per litre, while diesel witnessed a bigger hike of approximately Rs. 19.39 per litre.
Right now, a big Rs.10 to 12 increase this week looks unlikely, prices are more likely to remain the same or change slightly.
