SalamAir expands network with two new destinations in Pakistan; Details inside

Islamabad: SalamAir announces the launch of two new locations in Pakistan: Islamabad and Lahore, here on Friday.

As per the details, from July 8 and 9 respectively, SalamAir will operate five weekly flights to Islamabad and three to Lahore, increasing Salam Air’s footprint in the sub-continent region. This expansion brings the total number of locations operating in Pakistan to six.

SalamAir is owned by the Muscat National Development and Investment Company (ASAAS) which won a government tender in January 2016.

Founded in 2014, ASAAS is a partnership between the State General Reserve Fund, Muscat Municipality, and various pension funds.

Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) had invited bids in 2015 for a low-cost commercial airline operator in Oman.

Adrian Hamilton-Manns, CEO of SalamAir expressed his excitement about introducing flights to Pakistan’s capitals, Islamabad and Lahore.

He emphasized that these additions underscore SalamAir’s commitment to excellence.

Connectivity and providing more convenience options to passengers. They also create opportunities for business and cooperation between the two countries.

With Islamabad and Lahore now part of our network, SalamAir serves six destinations in Pakistan.

SalamAir’s recent network expansions include Cairo and Delhi as well as seasonal destinations such as Tirana, Baku and Almaty. Additionally, new routes have been introduced, connecting Salalah with Bahrain, Fujairah and Sohar, during the Kharif season.
