ISLAMABAD: Solar system prices in Pakistan have seen a major drop, as recent declines are fueled by lower global panel prices, falling interest rates and closer competition among companies seeking a share of the renewables market in the country of 242 million.
In September 2024, the prices of solar panels reduced from all units, from starter 3KW to 15KW, prices reduced by 3Lac. As of now, a 5-kW solar system costs Rs 650,000, while a 7-kW system costs Rs 725,000.
If you go for a commercial setup, a 10-KW setup costs around Rs 950,000, while a 12-KW system costs around Rs 1.1 million, and for a 15-KW system, it will cost you around Rs12lac.
| System Size | New Price (Rs) |
|---|---|
| 5 kW | 650,000 |
| 7 kW | 725,000 |
| 10 kW | 950,000 |
| 12 kW | 1,100,000 |
| 15 kW | 1,250,000 |
