Starlet Shoes & Hush Puppies among 24 sealed in Lahore

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) sealed more than two dozen commercial buildings on Abdul Haq Road in Johar Town for violating parking rules.

According to the details, LDA has continued operations against illegal signboards and violations of parking rules in Lahore.

On Friday, joint teams of LDA, Traffic Engineering, and TEPA sealed more than two dozen commercial buildings on Abdul Haq Road in Johar Town for violating parking rules.

The businesses that have been sealed include Hush Puppies, Starlet Shoes, a private bank, an ice cream parlor, a state office, a clothing store, a poultry shop, and offices.

Joint teams of LDA and TEPA conducted the operation with the help of local law enforcement agencies and heavy machinery.

The teams also removed illegal signboards from dental clinics, car shops, petrol pumps, hotels, coffee shops, private banks, and others. LDA officials said that several notices were sent to the owners of these buildings before the operation.

Director General LDA Tahir Farooq was directed to continue the indiscriminate operation against encroachments, illegal signboards, and violations of parking rules in Lahore.
