Vegetables & fruits prices increased in federal capital markets

ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetables increased further in the local markets of the federal capital, here on Monday.

According to the official prices of food items in the market of Islamabad, now 5 kg of potato is Rs.410, 5 kg of onion is Rs.690, one kg of ginger is Rs.672, garlic is Rs.372 per kg and tomato is priced at Rs. 130 per kg

As per the official rates, Zucchini is being sold at Rs 95 per kg, local bitter gourd at Rs 190 per kg, bitter gourd at Rs 63 per kg and bitter gourd at Rs 145 per kg. Green chillies cost Rs 132 per kg and lemon costs Rs 640 per kg.

Apart from this, the price of broiler chicken has reached Rs 850 per kg, local chicken price is Rs 950 per kg. The price of a dozen eggs also reached Rs 350.

As for fruits, black apple is selling at Rs 180 per kg, golden apple at Rs 147, Kandahari pomegranate at Rs 270, guava at Rs 160 per kg, summer fruits at Rs 140 per kg and banana at Rs 90 to 125 per dozen.
