According to media reports, Justice Muneeb Akhtar wrote another letter to the Registrar of the Supreme Court stating that the case was to be heard by a 5-member larger bench.

He further wrote in the letter that the four-member bench cannot hear the revision case related to Article 63-A in the court. He said that the order for today’s hearing was sent to him which has his name on it but no signature.

Justice Muneeb Akhtar remarked that the four judges sitting on the bench are respectable but today’s hearing is not in accordance with the law and rules.
