ISLAMABAD: Revision petitions under Article 63-A are scheduled for hearing, here on Monday.
As per the details, the judges’ committee decided to schedule the hearing of the 63-A revision petitions on September 30.
A five-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa will hear the case.
The bench includes Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Mandokhail and Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel.
A 5-member larger bench has also been constituted for the audio leaks case, which will be headed by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah. The bench will include Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Mandukhel and Justice Musrat Hilali.
The audio leaks case is likely to be heard next week. Justice Muneeb Akhtar was not included in the audio leaks case bench because of his mention in the case.
It is worth noting that while passing the verdict on the presidential reference on May 17, 2022, the Supreme Court had decided that the votes of the dissenting members would not be counted. The court referred the question of lifetime disqualification back to Parliament.
Revision petitions were filed on the matter.
