QUETTA: In a recent development, the Balochistan board has issued a new date to conduct the postponed annual intermediate exams 2025.

According to a spokesperson for the Balochistan Board, the delayed intermediate exams would start on May 2.

The students have been instructed by the board spokesperson to study for their exam according to the revised timetable. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the tests that were originally planned for April 22, 2025, were abruptly postponed for three weeks.

However, sources claim that once the instructors announced their intention to boycott the exams, the exams were postponed.

Students criticized the board’s decision in response to the postponement, claiming that it had an impact on admissions to medical schools the next year.

In another development, the Mirpurkhas Education Board has postponed the intermediate exams due to the road blockage in the region.

Anwar Aleem Khanzada, the Controller of Examinations, announced that the tests, which were previously set for April 28, will now begin on May 5.

Students were assured that a revised schedule would be released shortly to reflect the modifications. According to authorities, staff and students’ transit was hampered by continuous road closures.

However, it’s not the first time that Mirpurkhas is witnessing a road closure; the Mirpurkhas Education Board has long struggled with administrative and financial issues. Exams have previously been postponed due to a lack of funding.

In the past, the board neglected to administer further tests, which left many students unsure about their future.
