Class 5, 8 Board exams starting from THIS date in Punjab

LAHORE: After months of deliberation, Punjab education authorities have finally announced that the examinations for both classes will now be conducted under the board system, a move aimed at ensuring fair and uniform assessment in schools.

The Punjab Education Curriculum Training and Assessment has officially announced that the annual examinations for students of classes 5 and 8 will now be conducted under the board examination system. Registration for the examinations will begin in November 2025, as per the schedule released by the authority.

The examinations for class 5 will begin on February 9, 2026, while the examinations for class 8 are scheduled to begin on February 16, 2026. Students of class 5 can complete their admission and registration process between November 3 and November 15, 2025.

According to the announcement, the results for both grades will be declared on March 31, 2026. The decision aims to standardize the assessment process and ensure uniform educational assessment in schools.
