KARACHI: The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, has announced the date for intermediate exams starting from 5th May, with over 126,500 students appearing in exams.
The exam will be conducted in both morning and evening shifts. The morning shift will start on 09 am to 12pm while, evening shift will start from 2 pm to 5 pm.
The exams will be concluded on 29th May, with More than 92,000 students from the morning shift and over 34,500 candidates from the evening shift.
A total of 182 exam centers have been set up around the city, with 122 for the morning shift and 60 for the evening. 36 of these centers have been designated as very sensitive.
BIEK Chairman Prof. Ghulam Hussain Sohoo stated that all arrangements for fair and transparent exams have been finalized.
Two central monitoring cells have been set up at the Karachi Commissioner’s Office and BIEK to oversee the procedure and prevent cheating.
Furthermore, complaint cells will be manned by board representatives and run out of each district’s Deputy Commissioners’ offices.
Given the heatwave expected for the test period, the board has written to the Sindh Emergency & Rescue Service 1122, demanding two ambulances for the central control center.
