ABU DHABI: Schools in the UAE have announced their holiday schedules for February, with varying break durations depending on their academic calendars.
Some will go on full break from Monday, February 10, to Friday, February 14-a full nine-day holiday when weekends are taken into consideration.
Others will have a three-day break from Wednesday, February 12, to Friday, February 14, translating to a five-day holiday with the weekend.
The remaining few will take a two-day break on Thursday, February 13, and Friday, February 14, combining with the weekend for a four-day holiday, returning to school on Monday, February 17.
With Ramadan around the corner, starting from March 1, schools are already gearing up for shorter working hours in order to accommodate students and staff who will be observing the holy month, while assuring parents that syllabi will be adjusted to maintain a balanced workload and continuity in learning despite reduced hours.
