LAHORE: The wait is almost over for students of classes 1 to 8 in public schools, as the results of the annual examination 2025 are set to be announced tomorrow, April 4.
Students are eagerly anticipating the outcome, with many experiencing pre-result jitters. Initially, the results were scheduled to be declared on March 31, but due to the Eid ul-Fitr holidays, the announcement was deferred until April 4.
Teachers and school staff have finalized the results before the Eid break and are now gearing up to resume their duties.
To declare the results, all government schools will organize special ceremonies, where students can collect their results from their respective teachers. During these ceremonies, the names of top position holders will also be announced, adding an extra layer of excitement to the events.
The Punjab Education Department has announced revised school timings, which will begin from April 7 to October 15. Single-shift schools will start at 8:00 AM and end at 1:30 PM, with Friday’s dismissal time being noon.
Double-shift schools will have their first shift from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM and likewise will end at noon on Fridays. The second shift will start at 1:00 PM and end at 5:30 PM for all other weekdays, with 2:30 PM starting time on Fridays.
Schools and colleges across Punjab will also observe Eid-u-Fitr holidays, which will take effect from March 28 to April 6, before the new timings are implemented.
Annual results for government schools will be announced on April 4. The new academic year is slated to begin on April 7, when students will be promoted to their new grades, as mentioned by Punjab Schools Secretary relative to Khalid Wattoo.
