Islamabad winter holidays 2024 update for all educational institutions

ISLAMABAD: As the temperature has begun to drop, and the governments of Punjab and Sindh have announced winter vacations, students in the federal capital are anxiously awaiting the announcement of the winter holiday schedule for 2024.

As it does each year, the Director General of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) is the appropriate person to declare winter breaks for Islamabad’s schools and colleges.

The winter holidays will be according to the usual pattern which includes one-week breaks during extremely cold weather, the federal authorities are anticipated to announce the winter holidays for all educational institutions from December 21 to December 29, with classes restarting on December 30.

Additionally, the directorate may declare holidays through December 31 with the reopening of schools on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

According to the most recent information, the directorate has not yet made a decision on Islamabad’s winter break for schools and institutions.

Earlier in 2023, FDE declared that all educational institutions would have winter breaks from December 25 to December 31.
