Punjab schools’ winter holidays schedule announced

LAHORE: In a recent development, the province Secretary of schools Khalid Nazir Watto announced that the Punjab winter holidays will start from December 20, 2024.

In a statement, the school secretary Khalid Nazir Watto stated that there would be 20 days off for schools during the winter break, which would be effective till January 10, 2025.

Earlier, citing the recent political unrest in the capital city the federal government declared a public holiday in the twin cities, hence the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi postponed the intermediate practical exams that were supposed to take place on Monday.

Tanveer Asghar Awan, Controller of Examinations, stated, “A new date for the practical exams will be announced later,” however, he stated that the date sheet would be followed in the rest of the areas except for Rawalpindi.
