Summer vacation for schools extended in Islamabad?

ISLAMABAD: Following the Sindh government’s decision to extend the summer holidays in schools, students in the federal capital are looking for some news from the federal government regarding the extension of summer vacations.

Earlier, the Federal Education Department announced the closure of all federal schools from June 10 to July 31 due to the rising temperature.

According to the Federal Education Department notification, all public and private schools are set to reopen on August 01.

Extension in Islamabad Summer Vacation?

Currently, there is no update regarding an extension for the summer holidays in the federal capital. The federal government could review the schedule if there is any uncertainty in the prevailing weather conditions. 

Sindh Extends Summer Vacations 2024

KARACHI: The Sindh government extended the summer vacations across the province for all public and private schools by 14 days due to the prevailing severe weather conditions.

According to the notification issued by the Sindh Education Department, all private and government schools will remain closed till August 14 and will reopen on August 15.

Sindh Education Department mentioned extreme heat, a potential heatwave, and the monsoon season as reasons for the extension of summer vacations.
