LAHORE: The most awaited time of the year for school students has finally arrived and now the schedule for the summer vacations has been finalized, with the holidays starting from June 2025.
As students look forward to enjoying the longest break in the academic year, the Department of School Education has announced the summer vacation schedule for all government and private schools. The summer vacations will begin from Sunday, June 1, 2025 and will continue till Saturday, August 9, 2025.
The decision was made in light of rising temperatures and ongoing weather concerns. Officials have indicated that if temperatures rise unusually in the coming days, the holidays could start a week earlier to protect students, teachers and school staff from the harsh weather.
“This decision has been made with the health and safety of children and teachers as a top priority. Extreme heat can adversely affect the learning environment and overall health,” a department spokesperson said.
