Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader Raja Riaz Sunday accused former Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaqat Ali Chattha of being bribed with Rs250 million and a flat in New York for his election rigging claims.
During a press conference in Faisalabad, Former opposition leader Riaz said, “I’d want to tell you about his past. He worked in Faisalabad for 20 years and was the most corrupt magistrate”. Liaqat Ali falsely accused the chief election commissioner and chief justice of corruption after receiving money near his retirement, he added.

The PML-N leader further asked the relevant authorities to add the former commissioner’s name to the Exit Control List (ECL) and conduct an investigation into his allegations.
“Liaqat Chatha’s name should be added to the ECL and an investigation should be launched. Usman Buzdar gave Chatha his last posting for Rs50 million,” he claimed. He stated that the PTI attempted to replicate May 9 the previous day but failed.
