ISLAMABAD: Former senior judge of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui has made shocking revelations against former Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen (Rtd) Faiz Hameed.

Speaking to a private news channel, Justice (retd) Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui claimed that before the verdict in the case against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) supremo Nawaz Sharif, the then ISI chief had met with him.

Justice (retd) Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui further said that Nawaz Sharif will be punished, Faiz Hameed had informed me before the verdict.

The former senior IHC judge claimed that the former ISI chief also asked him what decision he would take if Maryam Nawaz’s case came up for hearing before his bench.

Justice (R) Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui said that I replied that I cannot spoil my hereafter. On the other hand, Faiz Hameed replied that our two years of hard work will go in vain.

“After a few days, Faiz Hameed came again and said that I would have come earlier but went to Karachi to strengthen the MQM patch,” the former senior IHC judge continued.

Justice (retd) Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, referring to the former DG ISI, added that “My boss General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that I am unable to control a judge.”

Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui also claimed that Faiz Hameed had offered him the post of Acting Chief Justice, which I had refused.

Earlier on August 12, the former ISI chief was taken into military custody, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to the media wing of the Pakistan Army, court martial proceedings have also been initiated against the former DG ISI.

“In compliance with the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, a detailed Court of Inquiry has been initiated by the Pakistan Army to ascertain the veracity of the allegations made against Lt Gen Faiz Hameed (Retd) in the Top City case. “Consequently, appropriate disciplinary action has been initiated against Lt Gen Faiz Hameed (retd) under the provisions of the Pakistan Army Act,” the ISPR said.
