ISLAMABAD: Pakistan‘s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, along with Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, are holding a key press conference amid the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India.
While addressing a significant press conference, alongside Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the deputy prime minister stated that Pakistan reserves the right to take retaliatory measures under Article 51 of the UN Charter, which states that a country has the right to self-defence.
“If India dares to undertake any further misadventures, it will be made to pay severely,” he said. In his address, DG ISPR rejected India’s claims based on the fact that Pakistan had conducted attacks on 15 Indian locations, calling the claims “completely false.
“ He stated: “India is trying to create some documentary evidence to justify its recent military action against Pakistan.” “With regards to the claims made by India, these are completely baseless.
They have shown images of so–called projectiles attributed to Pakistan, but they are ludicrous. A projectile of that nature would have burned dry grass, which the images did not show.“
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said: “India has claimed that Pakistan launched 15 projectiles against them and that all these projectiles were intercepted by Indian air defences.” The DG ISPR added that these claims were funny, as India failed to protect the aircraft in its airspace.
“If India says it neutralized 15 missiles, why couldn’t it save its own five jets from getting shot down by the PAF (Pakistan Air Force)?” he asked, about five Indian jets being downed: three Rafale fighters, one MiG-29, and one SU-30 by the PAF.
He warned that Pakistan will respond and when it will respond at a time and place of its choosing, there will be no ambiguity. “When Pakistan strikes, the Indian media doesn‘t need to spin the story—it will be a global story,“ he promised.
