QUETTA: Another patient suffering from the Congo virus died at Fatima Jinnah Hospital in Quetta on Sunday, bringing the death tally to nine in Balochistan this year.
The 16-year-old patient was admitted to the hospital in critical condition and received intensive treatment, but succumbed to the illness.
Provincial health authorities have confirmed that 34 cases of the virus have been reported in Quetta thus far.
Earlier this month, two more patients, including a woman, were diagnosed with the Congo virus in Quetta which brought the total number of cases in the province this year to thirty.
One of the newly confirmed patients hails from Musa Khel, while the other is from Kuchlak.
