Alert issued for patients suffering from allergies, anemia and infections

ISLAMABAD: The Department of Health and Population has issued an alert regarding harmful drugs.

For patients suffering from allergies, anemia and infections, certain types of sufiferazone sodium, mecobalamin and dexamethasone have been declared harmful to health.

The Department of Health and Population has said that sufiferazone is used as an antibiotic in infections, mecobalamin is used to treat anemia and restore energy in the nervous system and the body.

According to the alert, dexamethasone is prescribed to allergy patients, and the harmful types of these three drugs should be immediately withdrawn from the market.
