Three family members die from food poisoning in Arifwala

PAKPATTAN: A tragic incident took place in Arifwala’s 27/EB village, where three members of the same family died after consuming poisonous food.

The victims include Muhammad Ramzan, his wife Sakeena Bibi and their son Ali Usman.

The condition of two children Ali Irfan and Maham is critical and they are currently undergoing treatment at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

According to the details, the family had prepared a dish using chicken feet (panja), after which all five people started showing severe symptoms of poisoning. They were immediately shifted to the hospital. However, the husband, wife and their son died on reaching the hospital.

Medical teams including the Deputy District Health Officer (DDHO) reached the hospital and collected food samples for laboratory testing to determine the cause of the poisoning.

Further investigations are underway.
