Rain forecast issued for parts of Pakistan

LAHORE: The Meteorological Department has predicted that rains will continue in different parts of the country today.

According to the Meteorological Department, the current spell of monsoon rains may continue until July 24. During this time, there will be intermittent rain in different parts of the country, while heavy rain is also expected in some areas. Due to the rain, the temperature is likely to drop and the weather will be pleasant.

Rains have been continuing in Lahore for the last two days. Due to this, the intensity of heat has decreased in the city and a clear decrease in humidity is also being felt. Cloudy weather is also likely in Lahore today.

The maximum temperature of the city is expected to be 30 degrees while the minimum is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius. The humidity ratio in the air has been recorded at 88 percent, while winds are likely to blow at a speed of about 13 kilometers per hour.

Rains have also been predicted to continue in the federal capital, Islamabad. There may be intermittent rain in the city at different times of the day. Heavy rain is also expected in some places. After the rain of the last two days, the weather in Islamabad has improved significantly. The temperature was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius in the morning, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 27 degrees during the day.

The humidity ratio in Islamabad has been recorded at more than 96 percent. Winds are likely to blow at a speed of about 14 kilometers per hour in the city. This series of rains in the capital may continue intermittently for the next two to three days.

Thunderstorms are also expected in various areas of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. After the rain, the weather in these areas is likely to become cooler and pleasant. However, people traveling in mountainous areas during the rain have been advised to exercise caution.

On the other hand, the weather in Karachi is likely to remain partly cloudy today. According to the Meteorological Department, drizzle may also occur in various areas of the city. The maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to be between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature has been recorded at 28.5 degrees Celsius.

Winds are blowing from the southwest at a speed of about 8 kilometers per hour in the city. The humidity ratio in the air has been recorded at 78 percent. The air condition is also satisfactory at present. The amount of polluted particles in the city has been recorded at less than 100 particulate meters.
